Location of Kuratica

The village of Kuratica is located 21 km northeast of Ohrid or 5 km north of Ohrid – Resen Road. It is located in the bosom of the mountain massif Mazatar (Bayrak 1635 meters) at an altitude of 1080 meters. Due to the configuration, it belongs to villages with compact type houses, with small yards. It is divided into three parts: Upper Maala, Lower Maala, and Middle Maala. In Dolna Maala there is the village church St. Nikola, whose entrance is the common grave of the killed fighters in the National Liberation War of this village. In the immediate vicinity of the church, there is a kiosk built in the course of 1982, which consisted of 33 “Rashanec” until the nineties.
